1. Who we are

MPR Ventures, a sole proprietorship based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, is the data fiduciary for personal data collected through www.mprventures.in. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. What we collect

• Information you give us: name, business name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, and details about your business that you share through our forms, email, phone or meetings.
• Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and time spent, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
• Client information: business and financial information you share during a paid engagement, handled under that engagement's confidentiality terms.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as passwords, card details or health information through the Website. Please do not send it to us.

3. Why we use it

• to respond to your enquiry and schedule a discovery call;
• to prepare proposals and deliver services you engage us for;
• to send invoices and meet tax and legal obligations;
• to send occasional updates or insights, only if you have agreed (you can opt out any time);

4. Legal basis and consent

We process your personal data based on the consent you give when you submit a form or contact us, or for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as complying with law. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already done.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

• service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting (Wix.com), email, scheduling and accounting tools, under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
• professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers;
• government or law enforcement authorities when required by law.

Some of these providers may store data outside India. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is protected and any transfer follows applicable Indian law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact, and client data for as long as needed for the engagement and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (generally up to 8 years). After that we delete or anonymise it.

7. Security

We use reasonable security practices, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and trusted service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

• get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to erase it, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw your consent;
• nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity;
• raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

The Website and our services are meant for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
